- Apply a hot compress or an ice pack on the area of pain.
- Mild physical activity which includes stretching.
- Take breaks from the long working hours. For every 1 hour, you sit on your chair, take out 5 mins of walking around.
- Taking a painkiller or a muscle relaxant is ok but if you feel the need to take them more than once, its time you take an appointment with your doctor.
- Maintain balanced body weight as excessive body weight will also put pressure on your back hence causing the severe back pain.
