Introducing a made in India Skincare brand: Antheia Essentials

As India started its “atmairbhar” journey, my search for Indian brands started! Skincare being my favorite thing, the first thing I looked out for is the skincare brands that I can suggest to you guys. Homemade, 100% natural, local, and made with love products is what exactly I am hunting for. Also, if you are a regular reader, you probably know by now that I am a big fan of natural products with no added chemicals. Alright! So coming to the topic, the brand that I am going to introduce you to today is “Antheia Essentials”.

Antheia is all about giving you the best results with better ingredients. Nature-packed hair and skincare products that help rejuvenate what is naturally bestowed to you. The product range at Antheia is:

So I was introduced to Antheia by its founder, Shikha Garg. So Shikha sent me an email after reading my blogs that she wants me to try and test and review the products. As she was just starting the brand, I was sure that she definitely will put in a lot lot effort and love into it. I immediately said yes and almost complete the range of products that she launched reached in my PR package. It was one of those packages that I feel were special to me. I took my time, used every product that it had in it, and kid you not, I fell in love.

I took another month to write this blog so that no injustice is done either to the products or to my readers. Both readers and the brand deserves an honest opinion and I feel that honest reviews especially of a skincare product are not at all possible before you at least try it for 21 days. Here I am after more than a month of using this Indian skincare brand and an honest review.

Made in India skincare brand

Vitamin C foaming facial cleanser

Two things that assured me even before using it that I am going to love it are vitamin C and foaming! Anyone with combination skin, oily t-zone will relate to me! The foaming effect ensures that your skin doesn’t dry out but at the same time, all the oil and dirt are taken away from your face. Vitamin C brightens up your skin, removes the dark spots, and also has an anti-aging effect. I have almost finished the bottle and I am planning to buy another… can I say it in any other way that I loved it?!

 Ultra Hydration Daily Moisturizing Lotion

Whether your skin is oily or dry or anything, moisturization is inevitable. You just need to choose the right moisturizer. This made in india skincare brand is giving the best option. So the daily moisturizer that this Indian skincare brand sent me was with hydrating effect and is not at all that sticky super heavy cream that sticks to your face. it gives a hydrating effect, provides just the amount of moisture that is needed, and keeps your skin the soft and supple the entire day. Mango butter again is a good source of Vitamin C for the youthful skin.

Made in India skincare brand

Blueberry Overnight Mask

Berries are a secret ingredient for glowing skin. Include them in your diet as well as your skincare. We have talked about it earlier as well that your skin repairs itself while you sleep. This overnight mask makes for a perfect repair regime for your skin. Quenching your skin’s thirst and bringing back the hydration overnight is what you get out of it. Wash your face first thing in the morning and you will see your face brightening up quickly.

Orange Exfoliating Scrub

How much vitamin C is enough? As much as you can add! This orange scrub is just similar to the natural orange peel powder that many of you must have used. Easing the process for you, this facial scrub helps remove the dirt, oil, and impurities that accumulate in your skin.

If you get all the products mentioned above, you can even go for a DIY facial at home using them in a process. I promise you will love it! Support local and use a made in India skincare brand. Read more skincare blogs here and follow us on Instagram to read our reviews.

Desi Ghee for Face Pigmentation

Another skincare secret for all you lovelies out there! If you follow me, you know I am an ardent fan of home remedies, natural ingredients, and chemical-free skincare products. Moreover, I keep sharing how your eating habits can change your outer look. So, this time the ingredient is “Desi Ghee”. If you can make it at home, nothing like it. However, you can also try to get the purest form from your nearest dairy. If none of this is possible, then buy a local brand! Always remember that “labels never define a brand identity.”

Let’s discuss how to use Desi Ghee for Face Pigmentation. So pigmentation is about skin coloring, it causes skin darkening. The patches or the spotting on your skin that you see are what is called pigmentation. I will be sharing tips on how to use desi ghee for face pigmentation.

desi ghee for face pigmentation

Ghee as face Mask

Pure desi ghee is a boon for winters. Especially, when it comes to moisturize your skin and remove pigmentation. Take one tablespoon of ghee, 1 tablespoon of honey, and add 2-3 drops of milk into it. Apply this paste on your face and neck. Keep it on the face overnight. However, if you are not comfortable with the layer, wash it off after an hour. It will help even the skin color, keep the skin soft and supple.

Pigmented Lips

When it comes to using desi ghee for face pigmentation, lips’ darkening is a major concern. To get rid of it, massage ghee on your lips before going to bed. Massage gently for 2-3 minutes and leave overnight. You will feel the softness in your lips the next morning. With consistent use, you will get rosy lips in no time!

For Under Eye Pigmentation

Dark circles or dark spots around the eyes can also be treated with ghee. To solve the issue, take a little ghee in a bowl and mix a few drops of milk in it. Take a small cotton swab and dip it into the paste. Dab it around the eyes and gently massage using the same cotton swab. Do it every night before going to bed. It will take around a month before you see results.

Diet

I always emphasize on being beautiful inside out. While you continue to apply ghee in the ways recommended, also don’t forget to include it in your diet. Suggested intake is at least 1 tablespoon of ghee with every meal. However, do consult with your doctor if you have any medical issues. Eat clean, healthy, and take good care of your skin.

Travelling During Periods? Make Sure You Carry Your Menstrual Bag

Travelling During Periods? Make Sure You Carry Your Menstrual Bag

Travelling during periods? Make sure you carry your menstrual bag along

Admit it, we all like to travel! If you are like me, your travel plans are very spontaneous with zero planning and schedule. Moreover, sometimes we also have such situations that we have to plan everything at the minute. In such circumstances, the hardest part a woman can face is “travelling during periods”. Without a doubt, it’s going to get difficult to manage “that time of the month” while you are travelling. It has happened to me a lot! Hence, I found many hacks on how to survive if you are travelling during periods.

Under this article, we will cover:

  • How to pack your menstrual bag
  • Some amazing menstrual products
  • How to deal with cramps while travelling
  • What to do when you can’t find a clean washroom

I am so sure you all want to know all of this, so let’s just move straight to the topic. Travelling during periods, a little difficult, but manageable.

Menstrual Bag

Gear up! You need some stuff here. First thing first, you obviously need sanitary pads, tampons or menstrual cup whatever you are comfortable with. Pack your stock as you are never sure if you can buy them on your way also why do you want to risk! Just pack huge stock so that you are safe. If you are travelling during periods, prefer using a menstrual cup. The reason for using a menstrual cup is that you don’t need to change it as often as a pad or a tampon.

Another thing in your menstrual bag is a clean towel and paper soaps. If you are lucky enough to find a nice washroom, you will probably get these there but what if you don’t! Keep your own things ready to face any situation if you are travelling during periods.

Next thing that you need to pack is tissues! Both dry and wet tissues need to be packed. For wet tissues, I have the best option for your guys. Use the Oraah intimate wipes, as these are chemical-free, alcohol-free, foam-free and are extremely safe to use! You can buy the wipes from their website www.oraah.in

Disposal Bags

It is important to dispose of your pads or whatever you are using in a proper way. Carry some garbage bags or piece of newspaper or tissues if you don’t have anything handy. Wrap properly and dispose of in a nice hygienic manner as well.travelling during periodsTo relieve the Cramps

I always use hot water bags (both traditional and electric) to relieve the cramps. You can carry some hot water in the temperature resistant bottles and keep replacing. Moreover, you can also use this water to sip as that helps relieve cramps as well. Here I have another great option for you guys. Oraah cramp relief roll on. Keep this roll-on handy and trust me you will be at ease.

Pack these Foods

Don’t you want to eat some chocolate or some chewy candy while on your periods? Well, then pack! Take whatever you can in your bag that you can possibly crave for while travelling during periods. Also, make sure you eat healthy and clean foods so that you don’t have to deal with acidity or severe cramps.

Keeping all these points in mind, take your menstrual bag along and you do not have to worry about a thing! Happy travel! For more interesting blogs, click here. Also, follow me on Instagram.

Brushing

Use a wooden comb to brush your hair. Wide-tooth wooden combs eliminated the risk of hair breakage due to static electricity produced by plastic combs. Also never brush your hair when they are wet. Let your hair dry completely before you untangle them. Another pro-tip is to comb your hair down-up while you are untangling them.

Hair Spa at home

Spas are relaxing and your strands love them too! Indulge in a hair spa regime at home. For this follow these steps:

  • Massage your hair with good hot oil for about 20 minutes.
  • Now take a clean towel and wet it in lukewarm water and ring dry.
  • Wrap this towel around your head for about half an hour. You can keep dipping the towel again and again if you feel it’s not giving enough steam to your hair.
  • Remove the towel after half an hour and follow your wash routine.

Note: you can replace the oil with a good hair mask and if you have a hair steamer, nothing like it!

Trim your hair

Trimming actually helps. It strengthens the hair; removes dry, split, and brittle hair hence making them less prone to breakage. As suggested, trimming should be done every 3 months. You don’t have to go for a salon only, if you can do it at home also it’s fine! It’s just the trim.

Travel after COVID unlock: Rajasthan Roadtrip

Travel after COVID unlock: Rajasthan Trip with Lemon Tree Hotels

The times have been tough, but it’s easing out a little now. We all need to be super cautious, take all the precautions, and yet bring our lives back to normal. I am not a wanderer and I don’t call myself a traveler as well. However, I do like to travel to a new destination every few days. This time when all the restrictions were lifted, I decided to travel to historic Rajasthan. [You may also like to read: Destinations for solo travelers]

The heritage, that royal charm, and food! It was one of the best trips I have ever been on. Also because after so many months I finally got the chance to go out and breathe! Did I mention that it was a road trip?! That’s the beauty of it… I love long drives, through the random roads that you have never been on before. Keep moving as you see the sunsets and the sunrises. How can I not mention the Dhaba breaks! Those just love… more than the destination; I have always been a fan of the journey.

However, we do have to keep in mind that COVID is still very much here. We are all unlocked because we had to but just keep in mind that there’s still no vaccine and no way out of this. However, that shouldn’t stop you from going out. Take precautions that’s the key! I will help you out with my experiences and even my mistakes so that when you plan your next travel, you are all safe and ready!

Hygiene

Where else you think we should start. So my journey was of almost 9 hours and needless to say I had to use the loo in between. So the first thing that you need to keep in your bag is the toilet seat sanitizer. As it’s the travel after COVID unlock, keep the intimate wipes, some paper soaps, and the dry tissues as well with you. So in case, you need to use the loo while traveling, use all of this. DO NOT even use the soap or the handwash kept in those toilets.

Food and Water

We do have to avoid outside food while on the go. See you are obviously going to eat out on your trip however, avoid during the journey. Pack some food from home. There is one beautiful reason to it as well, you can just sit anywhere seeing the view, and do a little picnic thing! Pack some Chai, some snacks and you are going to enjoy for sure.

travel after covid unlock

Sanitizer and Mask

I think this is not even something that I should mention but still. Don’t get carried away as you travel after COVID unlock. Keep your mask on all the time! I mean it while exploring the places, sightseeing, and everything, keep your mask on. Also always keep a sanitizer handy. Keep sanitizing your hands every now and then. Especially in the tourist places where people from different areas must be visiting you do need to take care of the sanitizing part.

Stay

Although every hotel or guest house is super cautious these days and they are doing their best to keep you safe but you need to still be careful. Even you feel like there are not enough safety measures being taken, speak up! Request the hotel staff to adhere to the safety norms. Here I suggest you book a place after checking these things only.

In my travel after COVID unlock, I stayed at Lemon Tree Premier Jaipur and kudos to the staff, I was very impressed with their hospitality. All safety precautions were being taken, proper sanitization, and everything. I would recommend the lemon tree to everyone.

So, finally, I would say, don’t fear just pack your bags and go out! But be careful. For more travel blogs, click here. Also, follow me on Instagram.
